Silvia de Vries (1984) -that would be me-  writes about food, the way it intertwines with memories and its place in history and society. She -me again- currently works and lives in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and is available for freelance projects & sponsorships.


Milk on Friday is the place where she I explore the connection between food & memories and food’s place in history and society. Born out of a curiosity of why we eat what we do, and what influences what we eat and how, I started exploring the world of food beyond ingredients and recipes. Resulting in an enormous stack of books, heaps of drafts and an endless fascination with food in all its aspects, edible or not.
